About HaloCPR
Making CPR training accessible to everyone.
Built by HaloSafe
HaloCPR is a product of HaloSafe, a safety technology company built in India. We believe that the skills to save a life should not be locked behind expensive courses or limited access. HaloCPR exists to put real-time CPR practice into the hands of anyone with a smartphone.
Our Mission
Sudden cardiac arrest kills hundreds of thousands of people every year, and survival rates depend heavily on whether a bystander starts CPR immediately. Yet most people have never practised the skill. Our mission is to close that gap — making high-quality CPR training free, accessible, and as simple as opening a browser.
How It Works
HaloCPR uses your phone's camera and on-device AI to coach you through CPR compressions in real time:
- Camera capture — your phone camera captures your body position as you perform compressions on a pillow or manikin.
- AI pose detection — on-device machine learning models extract body keypoints from the video feed in real time. No data leaves your device.
- Real-time coaching — HaloCPR analyses compression rate, depth, arm lock, hand placement, and body posture, giving you instant visual and audio feedback to improve your technique.
Open Source & Research-Based
Our approach is grounded in published CPR guidelines and open research. The classification pipeline and training methodology are open source, enabling researchers and developers to verify, reproduce, and build upon our work. We believe transparency is essential when building tools that relate to health and safety. Read our Privacy Policy to learn how we protect your data.
Built in India
HaloCPR is designed, developed, and maintained by a team based in India. We are passionate about using technology to make safety training universally accessible.
